Biblical Truth
It has been brought home to me again recently the vital importance of being grounded in the Bible - to understand it, to learn it, to have it written in our hearts, and to live it.
Secular humanism and evolution, and Islam, are just some of the main challenges to a Biblical understanding of God and the world.
There is increasinging deception and falsehood around today, both outside and within the church. Much teaching in the church is not only un-Biblical, but even anti-Biblical, plainly contradicting the truth.
Although culture changes and our way of doing church and methods of outreach may change, God does not, and the Gospel message does not. We are still sinners, facing the reality of God’s judgement and the lake of fire. We still need Jesus Christ to save us from our sins through his suffering and death on the cross, and his resurrection. We still need to put our full trust in Jesus for our salvation.
Jesus said that He is the Way and the Truth and the Life, and that no-one comes to the Father (God) except through Him. Do you believe it ?
Let’s spend more time studying the truth of God’s word, firsthand, not relying on Christian tv, or books, or tapes, or sunday sermons….but seeking the truth for ourselves.
‘Woe to those who are complacnt in Zion’.
We cannot afford to be lazy or apathetic in these challenging times. The Church needs to be strong….strong in the Lord.
And to be as Jesus is, full of grace and truth.
